Several years ago, after a fall that damaged my spine and a subsequent year of mobility problems and pain, my rheumatologist sent me to the New England School of Acupuncture. Hugh was an upper-level student there, and the primary person who treated me. Within weeks I could comfortably put my socks on again, and by the end of the year I was doing very well. Last Spring, after an abdominal operation, I had serious pain in my side and spine, so I sought Hugh out. I have been his patient for almost a year now, and he has worked wonders, not only reducing my pain and increasing my mobility, but in numerous other ways. Most welcome and dramatic has been his treatment of my allergies: last summer was the first in over 20 years that I did not have to take prescription nasal sprays or steroids to control them.
Hugh has helped me get through a number of injuries over the last few years. He also has taught me ways in which I can help prevent injuries through proper stretching and better body management. I am a super happy and satisfied customer at Waterfield Acupuncture. I had a nagging chronic ankle pain so I decide I will give acupuncture a try. Hugh did a combination of acupuncture, bodywork and herbal medicine use. Although being skeptical about acupuncture initially, Hugh really listened to me and explained everything he was going to do. Within 2 treatments, I started to feel better. Hugh is really knowledgeable with acupuncture and Chinese medicines and was able to provide the right care. Hugh is such a gifted acupuncturist. He is patient and a great listener and explains things in a way that is easy to understand . I usually see him instead of my doctor as he always seems to be right. Also great for prevention when i think i might be coming down with something. Would highly recommend Hugh.
